Z. SMITH REYNOLDS FOUNDATION
Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all North Carolinians.
More than 80 years ago, the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation began investing in the quality of life of all North Carolinians. Today, millions of diverse experiences and opinions are shaping our state and our communities in complex ways. We believe this growing diversity continues to make North Carolina a state of great promise. By becoming more flexible and adaptable as a funder, while simultaneously adhering to enduring values like fairness, dignity, integrity, and equity, we are working with others to pursue a vision where we all thrive.
We hope you will continue to join us in creating a better North Carolina for all. We will do it together – for ourselves, our families, our communities – and All For NC!

DOGWOOD FOUNDATION
Dogwood Health Trust was created in 2018, but our ethos was inspired by a tradition of caring for a community that is more than a century old and rooted in our Appalachian culture. Our founding board established our purpose to dramatically improve health and wellness, grounded in a deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Since our inception, the Dogwood board and staff have called on these traditions to shape how we work, across our Western North Carolina region, so that every generation can live, learn, earn and thrive – no exceptions.
Dogwood Health Trust exists to dramatically improve the health and wellbeing of all people and communities in the 18 counties and Qualla Boundary of Western North Carolina.

BEZOS DAY ONE FUND
The Day One Fund made a $2 billion commitment to focus on making meaningful and lasting impacts in two areas: funding existing non-profits that help families experiencing homelessness, and creating a network of new, non-profit tier-one preschools in low-income communities.

PNC FOUNDATION
For decades, we have provided resources to seed ideas, foster development initiatives and encourage leadership in nonprofit organizations where imagination and determination are at work enhancing people’s lives everyday.
The PNC Foundation’s priority is to form partnerships with community-based nonprofit organizations in order to enhance educational opportunities, with an emphasis on early childhood education, and to promote the growth of communities through economic development initiatives.

STATE EMPLOYEES CREDIT UNION FOUNDATION
The SECU Foundation promotes local and community development by primarily funding high impact projects in the areas of housing, education, healthcare and human services. The State Employees’ Credit Union Board of Directors chartered the SECU Foundation to help identify and address community issues that are beyond the normal scope of State Employees’ Credit Union. While individual members may not have a large impact, collectively and cooperatively the Foundation can go a long way toward helping solve problems in our neighborhoods, schools and our community at large.
