Description

The National Health Care for the Homeless Council presents the 2015 East Coast Regional Training at the Oberia D. Dempsey Multi-Service Center in New York, New York. This training will offer two days of professional development and networking for a variety of disciplines. Attendees will learn from the Council's expert faculty and staff as they present the latest in health care delivery, policy, and research necessary to enhance the skills needed to provide quality care for people experiencing homelessness.
 
Training highlights:
  • Two full days of professional development and networking
  • Interactive, hands-on training sessions on quality improvement, cultural competency for LGBTQ youth, transgender health, collaboration and resources, self-care, and consumer skill building
  • Policy Roundtable with state leaders on the impact of New York’s Medicaid redesign on homeless care providers
  • Continuing education credit available
