The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) Homelessness Resource Center (HRC), Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH), Services in Supportive Housing (SSH), the Department of Labor's Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP), and SSI/SSDI Outreach Access and Recovery (SOAR) are offering a FREE two-day regional training!

 

The purpose of this training is to advance best practices and innovative strategies in homeless services. Based on person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches to care, topics will focus on housing, employment, critical time intervention, consumer integration, motivational interviewing, medical care for non-medical providers, population-focused approaches, communities of practice, self-care, and more.

 

This training is for anyone working in homeless services in contexts including street outreach, drop-in centers, shelters, permanent supportive housing, criminal justice re-entry, mental health, addictions, health care, supported employment, faith-based initiatives, and schools. We welcome direct service providers, consumers, support staff, administrators, government staff, and policy makers from throughout the Southeastern United States. We extend a special invitation to PATH, SSH, and HVRP grantees.

* The Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC)
