This is a free training offered by the City of Raleigh for nonprofit organizations.
 
Boards are an essential part of a nonprofit organization and play a vital role in planning, program evaluation, fundraising, and promotion. In the workshop, Gary Roscoe, from Acclaim HR consulting, will explain the role of a board and how to ensure that board members are effective in their positions. Roscoe will demonstrate ways to make boards relevant through objective goal setting, establishing board committees, and what to do when board members cannot or will not work towards goal attainment.
