The current mortgage crisis and economic downturn have resulted in an increased urgency to formulate and apply effective strategies. At the center is design. Sensitive, skillful and innovative design solutions are essential to comprehensively address issues such as community acceptance, life cycle costs, sustainability, adaptability, response to context, meaning and quality of life.
