The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) will be hosting the fourth annual Conference on Women, Addiction, and Recovery on July 26 to 28 in Chicago, IL.
The theme of his year's conference is "Thriving in Changing Times." The conference is intended to engage attendees in a conversation about serving women with substance use disorders and their families. This year, topics of discussion will include cultural responsiveness and disparities, collaborative and integrated approaches to care, and principles of gender-responsive care, among others. The conference will involve different types of sessions, including plenary sessions, facilitated discussions, panels, demonstrations, and learning labs to serve a variety of learning preferences and abilities.
