More than 600,000 North Carolinians may become newly eligible for Medicaid due to changes in eligibility rules that took effect in December 2023. This includes many individuals experiencing housing instability or homelessness. The North Carolina Interagency Council for Coordinating Homeless Programs (NC ICCHP) has partnered with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) Medicaid Offices and the North Carolina Coalition to End Homelessness (NCCEH) to host a webinar.

The webinar will cover essential information about Medicaid expansion and the Medicaid Ambassador initiative for people and organizations working within the homeless services system. If you work directly with people experiencing homelessness, or work with people who do, this information will be a valuable resource. You will leave with tools and resources that you can use and share with people in the Homeless System so that people experiencing homelessness, and those at risk of it, are able to enroll in Medicaid and get access to health care in North Carolina.
