Jeffrey Rawlings, a 30-year resident of Wake county, NC, is a nationally recognized Rapid Re-Housing counselor at Johnston Lee Harnett Community Action. He currently serves as Coordinated Entry lead for Region 7 of the N.C. BoS CoC. He has worked in the nonprofit field for 13 years. His expertise in human relations, communication and motivation are primarily derived from his life experience and his own personal journey from homelessness to housing counselor and homelessness advocate. His goal of ending homelessness is important because he remembers the shame, the despair, and the loneliness of having no place to call home. He feels no one, no matter the circumstance, should ever know that agony.
