Community Event

The Greensboro Housing Summit 2011 will be held on February 16 from 8:30-2:30. At the Summit, you will hear from people who have moved from homelessness to housing and from unemployment to green jobs, see a video about Greensboro programs that are making energy efficient healthy homes, and talk about ways to integrate transportation and housing so people can get from home to work. Greensboro is also exploring becoming a Purpose Built Communities partner (www.purposebuiltcommunities.org) , so Carol Naughton will speak about her work transforming a high-crime neighborhood in Atlanta into a learning, walking, working, thriving neighborhood that everyone wants to call home.

Register for the Housing Summit by downloading the brochure and sending it in with your registration check or registering online on the Guildford Nonprofit Consortium website. (If you want to request a scholarship, please use the brochure to register.)
