Community Event

On Thursday, February 18 from 3 to 4 p.m. ET, the Alliance will host a webinar to explore how TANF Emergency Contingency Funds and the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) funds are being used to re-house families experiencing homelessness. The Road Home in Salt Lake City, UT provided rapid re-housing assistance to 120 families in the first three months of implementing an initiative funded by HPRP and TANF. Michelle Flynn, Associate Executive Director of Programs for The Road Home, will discuss how the organization forged a partnership with the state TANF agency to pilot a rapid re-housing program to reduce the length of time that families reside in their program's winter overflow shelter program. Ms. Flynn will also discuss how that pilot program informed their current re-housing program model including their existing rental assistance and case management strategy. Ms. Flynn will review lessons learned and program refinements underway to continue Salt Lake City's progress in ending family homelessness.

If you are interested in participating, please register for the webinar online.
