Description

This deep dive session features two presenters:

Legal Aid's Fair Housing Project will present on housing discrimination and fair housing law.

Duke's Eviction Prevention Project will present on basic landlord/tenant laws and expectations.

After this training, rehousing agencies should have a better sense of the rights and responsibilities of the individuals we are housing.  Agencies will be able to identify what constitutes discrimination in housing and what recourse is available to clients who experience it.  Agencies will also gain a better understanding of tenant law, what is in a lease, and what the obligations of landlord and tenant are.
