Dashia Shanks

Dashia graduated from Virginia State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Management
Information Systems. She grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and moved to Durham in the
Spring of 2015. Over the years, she has volunteered with organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse, Helen
Wright Center for Women, and Habitat for Humanity. She enjoys traveling, beach days, helping animals,
and spending time with her family and friends in her free time.
